Actress Emma Watson to launch Fair Trade Collection with People Tree

Emma Watson to launch Fair Trade Youthful Fashion Collection with People Tree Actress Emma Watson, of Harry Potter fame, is doing her bit for the environment and sustainable fashion. Emma has been working with People Tree to produce a youthful fair trade fashion range using 100% organic and fair-trade certified cotton. This fair-trade lifestyle collection will all be handmade by Fair Trade Groups in India, Bangladesh and Nepal.

Fair Trade designs will include not only a clothes collection for men and women but also bohemian hand embroidered bed throws, sweetie paper jewellery, banana fibre slouchy beanies and head scarves. Must admit it sounds exciting and I am really looking forward to the launch of Emma Watson's new Fair Trade and Ethical clothing range in February 2010.

Although not part of the collection, I do like this clean and easy to wear look from People Tree.

Wool knit tank top from People Tree, Fair Trade Clothes
This pretty lacy knit tank top is hand knitted in 100% wool. Aubergine is always such a great autumn/winter colour. The richness of the colour contrasts well with the essential scoop neck top, the pearl white filigree necklace and the grey carrot trousers.
